Hey! After Christmas and the new year I put on some weight.
I saw this and thought it might cheer up anyone who did the same.

It's true what they say, if you wait long enough, everything they say is bad for you suddenly they find it is actually good for you.
It happened with eggs and colestral and lots of other things ( wine, butter etc) now it's the turn of big bums ;D

Since when did it happen with cholestorol (whatever the source), Rose? Over the last 2 or 3 years, they've actually reduced the 'safe' level of it to 4 (from 5) and are even thinking of dropping it further, to 3.5.

I am Shaker and I approve of the title of this thread.

I am Gonnagle and I concur with Shaker :P ( no, I am not Spartacus, the other guy is Spartacus )

Whatever you all have to tell yourselves. And if you three plan on keeping you enormous butts, how about some exercise? Twerk them!

I didn't mean that I am the owner of one, merely that the thread title is one I endorse ;)

They used to say eggs had to much cholesterol and only advised you to eat a few a week, since then they have discovered the cholesterol in them is good and is not the harmful sort.

And this one is about butter

It's really confusing because so many people are saying so many different things :o

Yes. Latest research suggests that 2-3 eggs a day can help reduce harmful cholestorol.

The alcohol guidelines that came out this week say that there's now supposedly no safe amount of alcohol at all, which is a complete contradiction of medical advice given a few years ago.
Not worth bothering about. It'll be something different again in a few years' time, so crack open another bottle and enjoy yourself.

Yes, we have been told red wine has protective effects on the heart.
-
If you only drank the recommended amounts then that would only be a few pints a week. Sod that. How much do I drink? Too much but I'm not bothered.

I am Leonard and I disagree with both of you. A big butt is a turn-off. A narrow-hipped and neat bubble butt is glorious to behold,

That's science for ya. Bad for you one day, oops, ok for you the next. I myself drink 4litres of milk a day. I also drink coffee all morning and a few glasses of clamato juice during the day. I don't care what the science tells me about it today or next year.
Do you have clamato juice over there? Great drink. You can drink it with vodka or beer if you have to drink booze, but I love it cold and unleaded.

In which case worrying about the size of one's rear or avoiding the odd glass of something is pretty pointless.

Not necessarily - so far, so good.

good on ya Shakes, nothing like a bit of citizen science. Let us know how the experiment goes.

Was it Groucho Marx? "I intend to live forever, or die trying!"
