Ah, a duplicate thread! Sir Terry was great and will be missed.
-
He touched many people's lives. He had a gentle charm, and always with a twinkle in his eyes. Even the embarrassment of him accepting money for fronting Children In Need did him no real harm. He remained ever popular. Sad to see him depart.

watched a special songs of praise last night about him.
Brought a tear to my eye... One of the nice men of tv and radio...

Class tribute from Graham Norton at last night's Eurovision.

Not being a "Friend of Eurovision Song" I missed this - but did see/hear a snippet on the Beeb's TV news this morning.

Very appropriate.
I put the show on last night when the lady with short silver hair and a silver dress with wings was singing, can't remember where she came from. Croatia I think. Nice looking girl, silver hair seems to be fashionable at the moment.
I didn't see or hear Graham Norton speak about Sir Terry but I missed his wit, he was great fun. It was worth putting up with that dreadful show just for him.
Still it wasn't bad last night, I particularly liked the Russian entry and also liked the Maltese, Austrian* and Spanish ones. I didn't think the Ukranian song, though a good song in its way, was really appropriate for the competition but obviously others didn't agree with me because it won. Well done to the Ukraine.
* the Austrian singer was sweet and looked like a fairy or a bridesmaid in her peachy dress, she was so pleased too.
I wonder what Sir Terry would have made of it? No idea what Australia was doing there, quite funny really. We're used to Israel and have forgotten that isn't quite in Europe.

Yes, fortunately I already had a glass of something stiff (essential in in order to get through the thing) and raised it at Graham's request.
