Its amusing sometimes. Sometimes it can actually be revealing. There have been at least a couple of cases in the news here where essays by children have revealed domestic crimes...which were taken up by the police.

Dear Floo,

Nevermind all that!! what about poor Tarzan stuck out in the shed and if they never had electricity up stairs what better way to warm your feet up by sticking them underneath a big woolly German Shepard :P

Our animals weren't pampered like some, it was used as a guard dog for my Father's horticultural business. Besides which, in my home island it didn't usually get too cold and the shed was not made of wood, but had been part of the servant's quarters when my father was a boy.

I always left pictures of monkeys gorillas etc., from newspapers magazines whatever, on the kitchen table for my two boys to see, just to have a gentle wind at them.

One day they got together and with lovely devilish grins on there faces they both asked me what sort of noises do monkeys make, I gave it a thought and said, "they go, ooh dad" and they both went "ooh dad" together, we all fell about laughing while we all had a play fight, I think they were about 5 and 7 years at the time, there's nothing like children at that age, it passes so quickly, more please.
