You're probably never thirsty because you never allow yourself to be - you sound as though you have a steady intake of fluid throughout the day. I drink lots too, so I'm the same.

Me too, but I have to stop after lunch if I don't want to get up several times during the night to pee.

Is there anyone like me who never feels thirsty? I haven't felt thirsty for many years. Obviously it is important to drink liquid whether one is thirsty or not, so I have fixed times for drinks, otherwise I would forget. I drink water as soon as I get up, a cup of coffee with my breakfast, another one mid morning, more water at lunch time and a cup of tea, a cup of tea mid afternoon, more water before my evening meal and another glass before bedtime. Three days a week I treat myself to a very small glass of a good quality whisky in the evening.
Try skipping the morning water, tea and or coffee as an experiment.
Then see if your lunchtime water/drink feels more 'wanted'?

My poor husband could get into the Guinness Book of Records for the number of times he relieves himself in a day. :( I have known him go three times in ten minutes! :o He has always had a frequency problem, but much worse in old age. The doctor has given him some meds, which seem to be a helping a bit!

He has my sympathy!

I think you have just solved your own mystery!!!

By drinking water and plenty of fluids you'll never feel thirsty.

I didn't feel  thirsty before I started drinking a reasonable amount of fluid, and suffered in consequence!
You suffered because you drank too much?

Are you of a small frame and stature, because the smaller you are the less fluids you need and foods have quite a bit of fluids in them especially things like fruit.

I think Floo means she suffered as a consequence of not drinking enough.

It's a funny thing but when I was younger - or young - I rarely felt thirsty.  There was the odd occasion when I did but I do remember having to force myself to drink a lot more water when the weather was extremely hot.  I felt much better for it but it wouldn't have occurred to me to do it had it not been suggested to me.

Later on I got into the habit of drinking a decent amount of fluid every day and still do.  I like water very much.

Floo, you obviously drink enough to stop yourself from feeling thirsty.  Sensible girl.  I wouldn't worry about times when you don't bother drinking water and don't feel thirsty, you might if you went without for any length of time.

Following the rule of three, Floo will be fine.
Generally one can survive
Three minutes without air, three days without water and three weeks without food.

(with my own addition, three hours without wine!)  ;)

Yes, that is fairly unusual but not unique.  At least you had the common sense to eventually realise you needed a drink floo - and you're still here!

It took me a rather long time to realise I wasn't drinking enough! ::)

I just wondered Floo, could it be living in Wales where there is always water sloshing around inside and out mostly outside; perhaps such a wet climate instills an aversion to anything wet, including drinks?

In our area we have had less rain than usual for the last couple of years!

What only 2meters a year when it used to be 4 ?

I have one of those trollies with a bag full of tea hanging from it fed straight in through a vein, you're right Floo it keeps me going, but I do love my tea.

Kind regards ippy

Well floo, your kidneys didn't pack up (horrible thought, kidney failure)!
Someone above mentioned the amount of rain in Wales.  I know you haven't always lived in Wales but have done so for a long time.  I wonder if we absorb water by osmosis?  Wales is certainly lush and green, lovely place.  If you don't mind rain  :D.  Rain is good for the complexion and hair, some of it must seep through the pores, while it pours.

I have two cups of tea and two cups of coffee a day, I don't wish to have anymore. Water is fine.

I believe never being thirsty is a brain problem, a birth defect. But if it's only come on in the last 20yrs, it's because she's getting old. Could also come from a hit to her noggin.

You cheeky young thing!

There's loads of stuff on the internet about not feeling thirsty, people asking questions about why they don't feel thirsty.  I wouldn't advise floo to look because she'll imagine there is something more wrong with her than wot U said (for example, Bronchial tumor that causes syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion or a hypothalamic lesion).

Being very thirsty can be a sign of diabetes.

HA! HA!

I only need to travell west across the northern part of the M25 and you know what, it starts raining.

In the unlikely event you have a drought in your part of Wales just give me a ring.

It's a saga in my life every time, no exageration, I've travelled west in the UK for a holliday it's poured, even sleeted and one year hail stones in June; wild horses couldn't make me go west in the UK for a holiday ever, ever, ever again.

The above is the absolute truth Floo, even so I admit I can't resist a gentle wind of the handle, it's almost as though someone is watching my travells with their hands on the taps ready just in case I start to travell in a westerly direction.

Came back early off a holiday one year we started out when it was a drought year with stand pipes everywhere, by the time we got to our destination in the west country, Devon or Cornwall, the water collecting at the roadsides was sloshing up all over the place, I'm really not exagerating and have to a admit that it does look as though I am.

Brownie,
Perhaps I am. Anyway I don't want floo to play doctor. I want her to go to one and get the pros to take out the drill and poke around in there and find out why she's never thirsty and hates music.
