...... as apposed to the nuclear fusion sun.
This is a little above me, but I found it interesting and thought some of the resident physicists here may be interested.

One of the first advantages listed is that it's compatible with the Flat Earth....

He actually says, it favours any version of earth.... flat earth, round earth, oblique earth; and that it doesn't really matter, we share the same sun and it's going to be apical in either case.
Keep listening.....

And the fact he pointed this out didn't give you a clue as to his intended audience?
Seriously, this is electric universe stuff: well known pseudoscience.

No, I think he is just saying it is how it is.

And that's it.... no real explanation?
Is there anything you would agree with? What are your thoughts on the Birkeland currents; and that there is 'plasma' everywhere and that space is not really 'empty'.

Seriously, this is fruit loop territory.
And that's it.... no real explanation?
Just for starters:-
- It's interesting at the start he says that there are many competing "models" for the electric sun - so he doesn't actually claim to know how the sun works, he's just convinced it that "conventional science" has it wrong.
- The guy "forgets" to point out that we wouldn't expect to get any neutrinos from an electric sun.
- He exhibits scientific illiteracy in his discussion of particles escaping the sun. The reason particles (including photons) take a long time to travel out of the sun has nothing to do with their mass, it is to do with how they interact with the other stuff in the sun. Photons interact a lot, whereas neutrinos don't.
- I laughed out loud when he said sunspots were dark. Yes, they look dark in comparison to the rest of the sun but even a casual search will tell you that they are at temperatures over 3000°C.
- What was that drivel about pyramids at the end..?
The 'Electric Universe' is basically a conspiracy theory cult that denies a lot of science - most notably relativity, the big bang, or that gravity has much to do with how the universe works. It's hard to imagine what motivates this kind of thing - at least creationists have religious indoctrination as an excuse...

Thank you for the reply and the links.
Well, as I say, I'm not a physicist so I can't debate any of this; but I do like looking at new ideas. But we do have to be careful as there are a lot of psy-ops on the internet... flat-earth (which we agree on) being one.
Nikola Tesla's story is interesting, though. Tesla knew all this electro-magnetic stuff over 100 years ago. The Germans recognized his genius and based their wireless communications with their submarines in WWI on his theories.

Much of Tesla's working life was spent in the USA. It has always seemed to me that Americans gave greater honour to Edison, an ideas man many of whose ideas had to be disentangled and sorted out by others, than to Tesla.
It is Tesla who gave us our working electricity grid operating with alternating current, Edison stuck with direct current.

Harrowby, Tesla has been grossly unreported over the years. You won't hear his name mentioned in the classroom (unless something has changed).... it's really a crime.
Here is a good piece on him:
