Yes ;D
What is scary though is if that picture is actually of magic mushrooms you could get more than you bargained for if you were collecting field mushrooms and got it wrong :o

Yes, there are some very dangerous fungi growing in our woodlands, that you really wouldn't want to experiment with.

Yes, we had reason to worry once and had to ask for medical advice ( unfortunately we had eaten what we thought were field mushrooms, given to us as field mushrooms by someone who suddenly had doubts ).
Apparently once you have eaten them some can get into your system and cause liver damage.
Fortunately everyone was ok and they really were field mushrooms, but it gave us a bit of a scare.
Really worrying that, a call from someone who is worried about the mushrooms they have given you, and you hav already eaten them :o
Much safer to get them from Asda.
I used to think nothing of picking them when I lived in the country, but then you know where they grow.
I think the medical advice given, scared me.
I'm not so confident now about picking them.

Very scary.
When we had a new lawn laid some years ago, mushrooms grew in fairy rings! The looked gorgeous but I certainly didn't feel inclined to pick and eat them. I hoped they would stay but they didn't. Anyway there was some turf left over and we gave it to the guy who did the garden, who took it to give to his ex-wife for her small garden. He told me that she and her partner also had fairy rings of mushrooms after putting the turf down, which they picked and fried up! Braver than I but I guess they knew what they were doing, the mushrooms didn't make them ill or worse.

Dear Rhiannon,
But lets hope that research into magic mushrooms can be funded.

That goes without saying, Gonners.

What!! Have you never smelt a Shaker post, kind of cheesy but one of those very expensive cheeses, this guy with the owl sounds as sane as me :o :o

A dairy- olfactory form of synaesthesia. Interesting. 🙂
