Sounded intriguing
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_Grove
Sounds a bit like our gentlemens clubs, but in the woods ;D

Perhaps it's a bit wetter and colder here and we don't have so much room.
Or perhaps woods are just not posh enough here ;D

Without my glasses I mis-read the title as 'Bohemian Gove' - Now that really would be something :)

Hee hee, just to give some balance:

There's plenty more from many sources. All very weird. May not be as sinister as some say but I would give it a wide berth (not that I've been invited).

Yes, who knows what really goes on in Bohemian Grove.
It is an area situated in Muir Woods, San Francisco. When we were on holiday a couple of years, visiting my niece who lives in San Francisco, we visited Muir Woods. All the other parts were open to the public but Bohemian Grove was closed off.
Why would that be? Anyone's guess....
-
Presumably because it's private land, same as innumerable places here.

All very sinister in my opinion but who knows what to believe? I don't dwell on such things but have at times found it all very interesting.
Just seen Shaker's post and he makes a fair point.

Private land is all owned by the Asti Spumante, who appear as cuddly labradors but are actually fifteen tonne cockroaches from the planet Jewsareevil

Well that's better than shape changing lizards!
When I first heard of Bohemian Grove, I imagined a sort of commune, with vague sitar music in the background, people coming and going, wearing tie dyed clothes and sandals, doing pottery and cooking up rice and lentils.
