Are bankers not ''The establishment''?
Is Andrea Leadsom not part of ''The establishment''.

Vlad, 'the establishment' is the the Tory Party, the Trades Unions, the Labour Party, the Liberal Democrats, the Church of England, Wimbledon, the Houses of Parliament, the police and other emergency services, the Bank of England, the SNP (at least in Scotland more recently) the BBC, ITV, ... . This applies as much to politics and society - as it does to sport and music or academia.

"The Establishment" is whoever the speaker dislikes and thinks is plotting against them.

Metropolitan elite:
Politcally left wing who are quite well educated with good interpersonal skills and work for blue chip companies or are professional.
