The piece below is a lively tribute to a man I met a couple of times. The comments below the article are a harsh reminder that not all of us measure up to his standard.

When I looked at this thread earlier and opened the link, I saw the comments without having to sign in.  Just tried to do so again (thought I would copy the comments for you), and now cannot so, yes, it appears you do have to sign in first.
