Two thirds of Labours female MPs have written to Jeremy Corbyn complaining that he needs to do more to stop the intimidation they are suffering, it is being done in your name (Jeremy's) they say.
Len McClusky says it is MI5 that are causing the problem.
It seems incredible to me that MI5 with all that's going on the moment have the time, money and resources to go around harassing lady MP's and making it look like Corbyn's fault.
Can McClusky be right?

Or are they both wrong? Your binary position seems simplistic
-
I don't take any position, binary or otherwise.
As Owen Smith says in the report, "We didn't have these problems till Jeremy became leader".
There are some knowledgeable people here I merely draw attention to this article to find out what others think.

Your post portrayed it as a right or wrong position - that's binary.
-
That's bollocks.
I take it you have nothing to say on the matter.

Yes, I have to say that you are presenting that this us a binary position.

Nah!
I would have thought Mi5 would have assassinated Corbyn from the grassy knoll ;)
Not running around harassing women MPs who don't support him.
I wasn't aware mi5 were labour leaning, more James Bond Tory ;) :D

Stop worrying about minor points...... ::)
( the binary position is a variation of the missionary position ? :o ;D )

Len McClusky says it is MI5 that are causing the problem.
No, he's saying they are behind Twitter abuse, not physical abuse.
It seems incredible to me that MI5 with all that's going on the moment have the time, money and resources to go around harassing lady MP's and making it look like Corbyn's fault.
Can McClusky be right?
No, he's almost certainly wrong. If MI5 really wants to damage the Labour Party, it can just sit back with some popcorn and watch.
-
It's telling that McClusky has to wheel out such lies. How would he know what MI5 is doing. The unions have used rather unsavoury tactics before on companies and the Labour selection process. So I would say it is the unions and not Momentum who are involved here - they have never like the Blairite or that side of the Labour party.

He could be, but since it seems to be the MPs who seemed to be supportive of Angla Eagle, prior to her withdrawal from the leadership campaign, I'd suggest that it is more likely to be the Momentum folk, or possibly the unions. They do seem to be determined to make sure that Labour doesn't have a female leader.

You started the thread, john, but don't really seem to have anything to say; just reference to conspiracy theorem.

Why would they not want a female leader?
-
Because unions are male dominated and the idea of a woman is threatening?

Isn't the General Secretary of the TUC a woman?

But they are Lefties and are for equal rights and all that. That makes them sexiest.

One of them of a union is but we're talking about being the leader of the Labour party.
-
Emily Thornberry is yer woman....trouble is she upset the Sun reader by upsetting their 'pride'.
Emily for leader. She could run rings around May.

No I don't think so

She will not have heard the last of that infamous tweet. As rumours began circulating that she had landed the defence job, New Statesman political editor George Eaton quoted an unnamed Labour MP saying "it would be extraordinary if we ended up with a shadow defence sec who sneers at her own flag".
I think Therea May is much more careful with her flippent comments.
Plus they are in different parties. :P

Hope said,

You are right mate I have nothing to say.
Unlike you I do not know the answer to everything, sorry.
I brought this link up because I wanted to know what the well informed and intelligent contributors here thought about it.
And again, unlike you, I am happy to listen to what others say before making my own mind up.
Still not sure what I think but do not expect an answer from above.

But they are Lefties and are for equal rights and all that. That makes them sexiest.
So, you get turned on by Lefties banging on about equal rights and all that?
-
I get the feeling that it isn't MI5 who are causing trouble for Corbyn, but fellow Labour MPs and activists.
-

Slight misprint. I don't know what I was thinking of.... :-[

I think MI5 are actually quite busy at the moment trying to prevent Islamist nutters from murdering people, but even if that were not the case, it would be a very risky thing for them to do with no obvious gain.
Just consider who might gain from Corbyn losing the leadership - the moderate Centre-Left, and the losers would be the Tory government.
So it seems a very unlikey scenario from all angles.

Doesn't he get paid £140k a year?
