What do you mean 'leeches next'.  They are still used in some parts of the medical profession.

Flagellation?

I find sauna, cold shower and rolling certain parts ( not those!) with a rolling pin when needed, works pretty well.

They are indeed, but not at all for the purposes they were used in olden times.
