What a wonderful swim by Adam Peaty, last night. Just couldn't believe how he won with such a distance.
At this moment in time, Adam must be the world's greatest breast-stroke swimmer.
Well done, that lad! :)

I was also really pleased for Jaz Carling, silver in the women's 400m freestyle. She was on course for inclusion in the 2012 GB team, until injury put her out of contention.

Yes, me too, Hope. You couldn't help but share in her joy of winning silver, having been denied a place in the 2012 team. :)

The canoeing, synchronised diving and gymnastics have been stunning this evening.
Well done to all those receiving medals and all those taking part. :)

OK, a question to the knowledgeable ;) What turns a diving pool green, without being toxic, algae-related or whatever? Why has the large pool, so recently used in a blue colour for the swimming turned green before the synchro swimming?

Thanks for that ekim. I'll be interested to see whether that is the end of the matter, though.

We'll wait and see if Tom Daley turns into a peroxide blond. ;)

Congrats to Laura Trott, Giles Scott, Amy Tinkler and Nile Wilson.

Was asked this yesterday. 1) Which British performance has been the most inspiring in your view and 2) which performance overall has been the most inspiring?
Any thoughts - and as there are a couple of days to go yet, I'll allow folk to change their minds before the weekend.

For No. 1, I think I have to say Adam Peaty, for reasons that I mention in the OP.
No. 2 For me, every single participant has been an inspiration. They have trained for months, maybe years and put their hearts and souls into their performance. And well done, each and every one of them. :)
