A plot known as the Talpiot Tomb was first discovered in the 1980s and has since been subject to debate regarding whether Jesus was buried there.
Now geologist Dr Aryeh Shimron is hoping to put the discussion to bed by claiming it is almost certainly the final resting place of the man believed by billions to be the Son of God.
The findings have sparked controversy among Christians who insist Christ was not buried and, as the Bible explains, he was resurrected before ascending to Heaven.
Dr Shimron says he has conducted tests on nine burial boxes found in the tomb which prove Jesus was buried there.
Controversially he claims he was alongside his wife Mary Magdalen and their son Judah.
The nine burial boxes were found in the tomb, with the names on each box linked in some way to the New Testament.

And how does this differ to the many other 'definitive' spots where Jesus Christ was buried, Nick, including a site in Kashmir? IIRC, there has been a lot of talk about this particular site over the last 20-odd years, with different expert people claiming different outcomes. incidentally, why would a geologist be in any better position to talk on this issue than, say, a biologist, an archeologist or a paleaontologist?

Yes, I do, Nick - and its part of why I asked the question. What would a geologist be able to tell us about human remains? The geologists I know wouldn't dream of pontificating on anything younger than 5 or 10K years old, especially not human or animal remains.

The belief in Jesus Christ which has echoed around the would ever since and teaches us that the down-trodden are the result of evil and has been hi-jacked by tyrants to congeal their own selfish aims relies exclusively upon his rising from the dead...resurrection. It is small wonder that those who want to work outside righteousness will go to any lengths to disprove that key point in his existence.
It cannot be disproved and the honest, loyal and righteous people who were around him at that time made sure that the true version was recorded for us all to know about this event.
Now, 2000 years later, under the threat of a massive global catastrophe, it appears that there are bona-fide reasons why his resurrection can be believed. It all revolves around a part of us that just can't die. It can be very weak and insignificant or it can be righteous and very strong but it cannot be destroyed.
That is why we should avoid Wormwood at any costs.
