Title: Does the English national football team need an English manager?

I sort of understand the idea but it seems an odd idea of the job.

It needs a good manager, and currently there are no English managers with any serious track record of success. The notion of plucking a manager who has never won anything of note at club level and putting them in the England job is nuts.
