On a similar theme, The Flaying of Sisamnes by the Dutch painter Gerard David , has the likeness of Pieter Lanchals, a conspirator who betrayed the City of Bruges to Maximillian I of Austria, representing Sisamnes. I am not providing a link as the painting is rather horrible, but its on the net if anybody does want to look at it.
