Do you remember the "Skinhead" novels? They were a fad in the early seventies,  a bit like the gangster autobiographies were a fad in the late nineties.

As I remember the skinheads died out when they reached the 16/17 age group and found girlfriends

Was that the Richard Allen books? I remember reading a couple but I know there were more than 2.
