Title: Death, afterlife, justice, and value
Post by: Nearly Sane on October 19, 2016, 08:58:50 AM
Interesting, if quite long, interview with Samuel Scheffler. cogitating in my thoughts on it but it seems to go down the route of how we might normally talk as if this gives some further normative validation.

Looks interesting - I listened to several Qs And as but then scrolling down I could see there was quite a lot, so I dropped in again towards the end.

Fair enough. The position seems to be, in part, that how we talknabout something on a day to day basis is somehow indicative of an underlying truth as regards values.

There is a long thread on here on objective morality where the proponents of objective morality attempted to use how people speak about morality as support for objective morality.
