Ok it is deliberately provocative, but some of us ain't had too much to cheer over the past few years.

(I did toy with the idea of a thread about "Who would ever have thought that a Tracy would be an MP?", but thought better of it).

Actually, I find that result quite pleasing. It keeps the government under pressure and suggests that the LibDems might be filling the vacuum left by Labour.

Not surprisingly and Lib Dems well up, perhaps more surprisingly, although if you were registering a protest vote in DC's old constituency, you probably wouldn't vote for Labour.
