That happens with the more readily prescribed mind-altering drugs, some of which have really horrible effects on many people while others feel better (& they aren't particularly monitored, most are just given a prescription and told to come back in a month/three months), so substance such as that described in the link needs a bit more care. Also more controlled research.

However, if there is a strong possibility that it helps, it's certainly worth a try.
