Title: Stabbing at Forest Hill
Post by: Nearly Sane on December 12, 2016, 05:44:57 PM
As one of  the places I've lived, you feel a chill. One wonders which of the more cerebrally challenged members of different political wings will struggle most with a black man wanting to kill a Muslim.

I  have never lived there  and neither do I feel a chill . Further more I feel even less for your sanctimonious judgment and political righteousness and complete misunderstanding in human nature.

I love you too

Just to clarify, I meant that one feels a chill when something happens in a place you know well.

let's leave my old habits out of this. And maybe to try to stay on topic, is this an attack that is party pharmaceutical induced, just another nutter, or a terrorist?

NS

sounds horrific and terrifying. I'm wondering what I would have done had I been there.
What about you, NS ?

I've just sent a text to my youngest daughter to be aware of her surroundings when travelling  and not put her earphones on in the tube . She hasn't replied , I imagine her sat at her work desk saying 'daaaad' I'm not stupid. She's a Yorkshire dales girl in the big smoke having the time of her life, but I do worry!

However old your children are you still worry about them. Our girls are in their 40s, but I am still concerned, although about different things to when they were younger.

You're right Floo, she's my baby, just turned 21 last month.

I come from that area, Sydenham, and Forest Hill was within walking distance, through the park.
Chilling indeed (it was on the television news), but the perpetrator appears to have been deranged, possibly psychotic, running around screaming about Muslims and stabbing.  We'll find out in due course but if that is the case, black and Muslim won't be relevant.

Did I dream it but wasn't there another violent incident in Forest Hill reported in the media a few months ago?

I too have lived in Forest Hill, compared to the Sham, Forest Hill is a pleasant enough area during the daytime.

I get the impression that the man concerned is deranged. I only hope that he has not been encouraged by Ukip/ BNP ranters on the Internet.
