I think the basic problem is that they should have gone with a real person.

It seems that someone at the UN has far too much time on their hands and a budget that they really don't know how to spend, if they feel the need to start creating posts for fictional characters.
Have the UN finally resolved all the worlds conflicts, I seem to recall that there are still a few unresolved 'loose ends'?

FWIW I think that Wonder Woman would have made a good ambassador. After all its not as if the tabloids will be able to dig up any dirt on her.
I suppose there is always Cheryl Cole :D
