I remember him first in "I Claudius" - and he was superb as Caligula. Ever since then, he's been a fantastic actor. And as a Whovian, farewell to the 'War Doctor' - his performance shows just what a fantastic regeneration he might have been.

I have just discovered that his first big role was in one of my all-time favourite films: A Man For All Seasons. He played Thomas More's treacherous protégé, Richard Rich.
.....but for Wales, Richard, for Wales?
