I seem to remember that gurning was a regular feature on Nationwide.

Itwas on quite a few of the local news programmes at one time.

Yes, I love all those odd customs, so many have disappeared now   :(

I used to love gurning, contorting my face into hideous shapes to amuse my friends.

But my mother said "If the wind changes you'll stay like that".

A brisk south westerly blew up and now I wish I'd never heard of gurning, dogs bark at me and kids run away when they see me coming.

Oh woe.
