In some ways surprised it took so long, but you can't really blame him, Gaston is a gorgeous big hunk of man meat

Oaken?

This is a Disney movie. Their attitude to women and marriage is driven largely by the need to keep conservative Americans happy. This is groundbreaking.
-
Disagree, this is a company that was boycotted for 8 years by the Southern Baptists, who have 16 million members, because of its support for gay rights amongst other things .

Whatever. I loathe Disney.

yep, don't let facts get in the way of that opinion.

I've had to negotiate the demoralising, stereotypical, repulsive money-sucking machine that is the Disney Princess juggernaut with my daughters. Transparent nylon frocks that look more at home in the Ann Summers catalogue? Heels for toddlers? Make-up tips for six year olds 'just add some pretty lip gloss'? Empowering messages that even an ugly sister can get a bloke so long as he's fat and not especially attractive? Ah, the lovely world of Disney.
Don't lecture me about 'facts'.

Which all amounts to an ad hominem. You are factually wrong that Disney be controlled in its attitude to LGBT+, the subject of the discussion, because of being in thrall to 'conservative Americans'.

Do you think I give a shit? No, actually.
I'm sorry but decent conversation is increasingly becoming stifled on this forum. Pedantry isn't debate. This isn't the first potentially interesting thread I've stopped bothering with and I doubt it'll be the last. If I bother posting at all.

Facts on a subject as opposed to fallacies isn't pedantry.
