He lived up the road from me at one time, saw him occasionally.
Used to listen to 'Sounds of the Sixties' in the car sometimes.
Well done to him for living to 88 but apparently Brian Matthew is not yet dead!

They claim to have been told by close relatives that he was dead. Obviously somebody made a mistake but it wasn't necessarily the BBC.
