The more who realise UKIP is not worthy supporting, the merrier, imo.

Though UKIP don't lose out as it is a PR system and so Reckless will be replaced by another UKIPper.

Even so it is one less UKIPper, which is an encouraging trend.

Nice to see Nigel make an arse of himself, again, in his day-job performance.

What part of PR didn't you understand? It's based on percentages of votes and the party list.

He isn't resigning his seat though: he'll remain 'in-post' but as an independent.

Which part of "they aren't going to put new MPs in mid term" do you not understand?

As far as I can see he retains his AM status and that it is just his party affiliation that has changed: seems like a mess though.

From that story it seems he will not be allowed to join the Tory group, but you are right about the confusion.

Even though Jack is factually wrong about bringing in new AMs to fix the proportionality, I think he does have a point. The Welsh Assembly no longer reflects what the people voted for.

So what is being said here is that a group of people could get together, who are from a party that isn't going to get many votes, and join one that will and then jump ship to the unpopular party. Well that sounds fair!!!
