Oh for goodness sake.
As if one Christmas a year isn't one too many already.
-
No it isn't.
There, easy.

One weird thing I noticed with my friends is that they taught their kids to believe that eggs really were delivered by the Easter bunny and did the whole secret present swapping thing as they did with Santa. I found that very odd.

Dear Trent,
Dear God in Govan!! ( it's a weegie thing ) you really are becoming a little ray of sunshine on this forum, Trump, Putin, Brexit and now this!! Fill yer own Easter carrot cracker, I can't even imagine what kind of evil mind thought that one up >:(
Gonnagle.

Are Slade going to re-record the all to familiar ditty so as to sing instead, 'So here it is Merry Easter'?
I think they should be forced to, as a punishment for doing the Xmas version in the first place!

You don't want to know the rest of the contents of my head. Venezuela situation, extinction of species worldwide, FGM, defunding of the NHS and money passed over to the private sector (how rich do you need to be Branson?), polar ice caps disappearing.....well you get the picture.
Misanthropy thy name is Trent.

Right with you old son, especially the NHS thing, I work in the NHS and I see the damage, then again I also see the wastage, here's a wee story that I will share, a young student Nurse asked me yesterday, what do I throw out of a room that had been under infection control ( the poor wee thing had been given the task of clearing it before the domestics moved in ) I had to tell her, everything!! There must have been about 200 quid worth of stock in one cupboard alone, she was gobsmacked at the wastage.
If you have a solution to the above problem you could save the NHS a fortune :o
Gonnagle.

Also NHS. Also no solution - other than to stop the infection in the first place. Easier said than done with open wards.

"Twixt optimist and pessimist, the difference is droll: The optimist sees the Polomint - The pessimist, the hole.

Dear Trent,

I laughed at this thread because I haven't seen such things in shops, or haven't noticed, but today I received an Easter card from someone (I do send a few and receive same), which had a pic of easter egg hanging on tree covered in tinsel! Never seen thaat before.
We all know Easter is biggest Christian celebration but that doesn't figure to people who are not Christian & we Christians don't usually do a lot of commercial stuff apart from Easter eggs to those close to us. So maybe it is becoming more of a big thing to others. Certainly I saw Easter eggs in the shops weeks ago (& bought mine), but nothing else, like razzmatazz. If that is happening I am sorry!
Happy Easter to all.
(Read Trenvoyagers posts and understand where he's coming from, big time!)

Yes, but does the Easter Bunny actually lay the egg?
