I see Talbot has been found guilty of the offences for which he was standing trial in Scotland.
I thank my lucky stars I didn't allow our DS son to be left alone with him when he was invited to join Talbot on his floating weather map.

Talbot has been sentenced to another 4 years on top of the sentence he is already serving, jolly good.

Quite rightt too. ( I'd never heard of him before you posted this thread.)

Don't you watch TV?
-
Yes quite a lot but never noticed the names of weather forecast people. Remember Michael Fish and one or two girls, that's all.

Talbot was on ITV.
-
he passed me by I'm afraid though I do watch the forecast sometimes. More often i look up weather on the BBC site.
I only know Fish because he is forever being mentioned as the forecaster who didn't forecast the big hurricane.
Whatever Fred Talbot sounds like a horrible perv.

Talbot is a convicted paedophile, all of whom are the scum of the earth! :o

Would you perhaps like to amend that to "paedophiles who act out their desires on children are the scum of the earth"? Maybe (just maybe) they can't help their desires (any more than most of us - if we still have any, whatever our sexual proclivities. But we don't always act them out, for many and various reasons).

I agree.
However understandable in the heat of the moment, the all heat and no light approach might make you feel better for having vented but otherwise achieves nothing. It doesn't help us to find out why adults might find children appropriate sexual choices or how to prevent them from doing so.
-
You might want to carry on this argument of sexual relations with children over on the Muslim Topics.
Why? It's rather more general than that.
-
There's more than OUR disgust at preening young kids goes on in the UK.
I'm sorry, I have tried to understand what you mean, but could you repeat it in English, please?
-
Glad you said that HH because I didn't understand it either butthought it might just be me.
Trippy, there are children who 'preen' all over the world, some naturally & some because they try to impress, usually outgrow it.
Yet I think you meant something quite different.
-
Would the word he meant to use be grooming?

Anyone who has unnatural desires where children are concerned but have not acted on them, should seek help, as there is always the possibility the temptation gets too much for them.

YES Thanks for that. We were on about this over on the Muslim Board re Mohammed marrying a clearly underage child & it being sanctioned in Islam.
As I have said every single other time you have brought this up - Aisha's age at marriage is disputed as her age in Hadith does not tie in with her age (somewhere between 15 - 19 yrs) according to the biographies written about Prophet Mohammed. Especially given she was engaged before she married Prophet Mohammed and the other party broke the engagement off when her father became a Muslim.
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/belief/2012/sep/17/muhammad-aisha-truth
In most Muslim countries, the legal age of marriage is 15 or above. Oh and in case you missed all the other times you were told this, there is not one Islam - there are multiple Islams as different interpretations exist.
India has the highest rate of child brides - and there as many Hindu child brides as Muslim child brides. The good news is that the rate of child brides is decreasing.

Yes and there are many child brides in African countries.
In this country there used to be child brides - & husbands - centuries after Mohammed's time.
Trippymonkey you don't miss a trick. At the drop of a hat you come along with something anti-Islam. We get it, you don't like it but
Mohammed's marriage to Aisha, whatever her age, has nothing at all to do with the likes of Fred Talbot & the grooming of children which happens & always has,all over the world.

Floo did say " convicted" paedophiles.

Trippy's prejudice gets worse by the minute.
Ugh!
-
Sorry You're right. Don't forget to look Behind You ?!?!?! LOL
Why?
Who is behind her? You?
:o
-
I'm scared of my own shadow Rose :D.
Trippy's prejudice gets worse by the minute.
Ugh!
Yes!
He's not alone though, there are other posters who jump in and display personal prejudices if there is a hint about something or some people they disapprove of.
At least we know what to expect from Trippy.
-
NOT personal prejudice as I can provide perfectly good reasons as to why I have little or no regard for Islam as being THE religion for mankind.
You lot really need to get out from your cosy little nests & see some of the real world.
None of you has any idea of what I've found out over the years - things that would horrify you.
It's not always about a translation of certain scriptures. How many of you here 'know' the Quran is written in a more or less dead language that can so easily be wrongly interpreted as has been shown by 'modern' Muslims & IS who would love us all to go back to the 6th century & further !!!!
But anyway I WILL eff off & leave you all to your little soirees until IS are knocking on Europe's door & will be let in by supporters already here. ::)
BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN

;D
Nowt to do with Fred Talbot thought.

But they are not going to do that with people like you arguing they should be strung up.
