CRYING tears of laughter, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall suffer a public fit of the giggles on a royal visit.
The couple were in Canada, watching two Inuit women engage in a display of ‘throat singing’ - which some say is based on the mating sound of seals. New footage from last week’s trip shows Charles and Camilla desperately trying -- and failing -- to keep straight faces in front of dignitaries as they listen to the First Nation welcome performance in Iqaluit, Canada’s Arctic capital. Camilla’s shoulders shake and she wipes away tears, before she places her hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter. As she catches her husband’s eye, his composure breaks and he repeatedly scratches his nose to hide his guffaws.
Fortunately, no one seemed to take offence. A Canadian government official said: ‘Throat singing is a beautifully unique musical expression that is meant to be lighthearted.’

Oh dear!
I'm a bit of a giggler.
It's even worse when someone has the same sense of humour and you know you mustn't.
I've had that in a seance, and tucking a book into bed on a visit to a gurdwara. Luckily I didn't have someone their to really set me off, however if you do, it's almost impossible to avoid eye contact and sharing so much with just a look.
Trying to stop giggling if there are two of you , is even worse.
I suppose the royal family come across so much on their visits, even they can't help it sometimes.
They are supposed to be so formal and po faced.
Camilla and Charles share a lot, obviously a sense of humour. The feeling they shouldn't be giggling is doomed to make it worse, imo.
The royal family is just human.
I know exactly how they feel

It must be incredibly tedious, the being Royal thing.

What a ghastly noise. I don't think I would have laughed, I would have had my fingers in my ears.

To be fair, I wouldn't take you as a connoisseur of what is enjoyable aurally.

True, but that comes over as a worst noise than most where 'music' is concerned.

I'm wondering if the royal couple were able to translate the lyrics...
''Charles and Camillaaaaaa.
Hum a Ho a Hum a Ho
Pair of f**ing eejits.
Humma ho a hum a Ho''
