Passed an estate agent the other day where a new development was offering one bed flats from £895,000

I heard yesterday that the Shard in London has several apartments at the top, which are for sale, for only £50,000,000 each. None have sold yet, I wonder why? :D

Ah, yes The Shard apartments are an odd mystery, see the link

People obviously have more sense than to spend that sort of money on a mere apartment even if it is in a famous building.

We have this odd approach that a housing bubble is seen as good in this country.

As they can't sell the Shard apartments, maybe they should be used to house people made homeless by the Tower Block fire. ;)

The Shard is south of the river. I sympathise. I get very antsy when I cross the Thames.

Why?

Why?
Because Rhiannon is a north Londoner. They don't do sarf of the river.

How sad! ;D

I never liked going south of the river either. Deeply suspicious of anything south of the river, confirmed by the fact that it's home to Millwall.

Glad you said I'll have to go and have a look, hope they've got shaver points in the bathroom.

One of life's mysteries it's unexplainable, I hear tell those strange others that live on the wrong side of the Thames feel the same about people like us that live on the right side of the river.
Can't give a logical or rational reason why, I can only say south London feels wrong all of the time you're there.
