The Carberry family are quite a horse-racing dynasty: the departed Tommy rode and won against the best of his generation. I saw him ride at Ayr a few times in the early 70s. His son Paul was probably an even better jockey and his daughter, Nina, was one of the first female jump jockeys to win prestigious races.
He'll be missed, especially amongst the Irish racing community.
