Title: Generation X: Our Last Best Hope

This is a tongue in cheek piece but it hits a lot of good notes. I particularly like
'History is big and we are small; grand projects end in ruin; sometimes the best you can do is have a drink—that’s what we know' which echoes me introducing Yeats' The Second Coming to my mother today
