actors work when they can't get a job on telly or in a film.

Disagree. Theatre is the bizz. TV and film pay more though so actors do those in between stage work to make more money.

I disagree but suggest you ask actors, they'll tell you which is more prestigious.

If they're not famous it means they're not very good and nobody wants to pay money to see that :o :o :o

It's just occurred to me that the reason an operating theatre is called an operating theatre is because, in olden days, it really was a theatre with people watching.
