On a similar theme - those of a certain vintage will remember that OGWT used to play [then] current rock music to film clips dating from the 1920/30's: I remember this one well - to Led Zeppelin's 'Trampled Underfoot'.

It is a matter of just being being there, or of being "there".
Example. I who was "there", always thought that Patrick Juvet pulled off the androgynous look rather well. My youngest brother, who was there but not "there" gave the dissenting opinion "He looks ridiculous, he has a girl's hairstyle & the face of a boxer".
