Herniated discs are, I understand, horribly painful.

Not sure that I would want good wishes from a member of the pro abortion brigade. But then I would not have sent her shitty messages in the first place.

Sarah Silverman has poured hot coals on the head of an enemy!
(Romans 12:20  Proverbs 25:22)

I fail to see what her views on abortion have to do with anything.

You don't get it, do you?

So be it. I would not want the good wishes of Ricky Gervais either.

I 'geddit', you would prefer to have no truck with anyone who has pro abortion opinions or is not anti abortion but that has nothing to do with the twitter exchange link NS put in the o.p. There is more to a person than one of their points of view.

It’s as though because some people hold certain views they are seen to have lost their humanity.

Incredible when you think about the message in the OP.

Only just read this and how uplifting it is.

I too do not understand the "not getting it" bit.

Human beings being good to one another - what's not to get?????

It looks like a classic example of the "halo effect". A single characteristic of an individual's personality is allowed to overshadow all others.

Not at all, no-one's saying Sarah Silverman is a plaster saint, just that on this occasion she did something really good.

In your view a single characteristic (in this case, opinion) overshadows all others.

Ridiculous.

I read HH's comment as being about Humph and his attitude to Sarah Silverman.

I found this about Sarah Silverman. A lot of us can identify with what she says here. Since reading it I almost feel she's my kin!
