Title: Bike Ride from Hemel Hempstead to Epping Forest and back, last July.

Impressive.

It reminds me of the cycling trip my brother and I took from Bovingdon to Great Yarmouth. The first part of our route is very similar to the Northern part of your trip. At least,, I remember Ware being involved. This was in the days before smartphones and GPS. We had to navigate with a map.

Post by: Steve H on February 25, 2018, 02:25:20 PM: Thanks for the kind comments. 72 miles sounds impressive, but isn't that great a distance for an all-day ride on a bike; there are plenty of cyclists who think nothing of knocking off 100 miles or more in a day.

We occasionally went from Hull to Hutton le Hole(North Yorks Moors) and back in a day, and sometimes went on an evening trip to Hornsea and back(about 40 miles). Couldn't do it now though :(. I sometimes cycle across Humber Bridge and visit the clay pit/wetland area at the other side.

I've done the London-Brighton twice, and a few other charity rides, but not recently.
