It is alive but is on life support.

Quote
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character

I think some of the activists against racism would do well to ponder on exactly what that means.

I may be assuming something of what you mean here but I would suspect that some of those who you want to ponder that might well argue that given we aren't at that stage yet, then colour of skin remains a consideration from their view as well.

The ghastly Trump Administration seems to be racist, and could try to scupper what that great man, MLK, tried to achieve.

What actions of the Trump administration do you see as racist?

There's a lot there damning about Trump himself but that wasn't the question asked - what had the administration done as an action that is racist? Note I don't approve of Trump but I'm not seeing anything that's been enacted that is racist.

He is cracking down on immigration, which I see as a form of racism.

You might see it as a form of racism - but on what grounds?
Note: Im no advocate of Trump's policies on imigration, but seeing thewy cover more than one etnic or racial category, I don't see them as racist.

Well I do, so we will have to agree to differ.

I don't think that having a tighter immigration policy is in any sense necessarily racist. You would be better arguing that the specific attempts to stop people coming from certain countries as racist but there are restrictions like that in most countries.

Are you saying that the US - unlike every other nation on earth - should operate unrestricted immigration laws?

Which simply shuts down discussion. Your approach would logically allow someone to say 'I think your haircut shows you to be an active paedophile' and then when anyone pointed out that that isn't avoid the  argument by  just replying 'Well I do, so we will have to agree to differ.'
