I know.

I was hoping for a revival of Pets Win Prizes. Won’t happen now.

Dale Winton was on Chiltern Radio when radio stations were fewer and more distinctive.

That is very sad news, I was only thinking about Dale Winton the other day - he crossed my mind & I wondered why I hadn't seen him on TV for a while. When I did see him last (that lottery programme just before Casualty) I thought he didn't look very well, he'd put on a fair bit of weight. Used to hear him present an old pop music programme on the radio which was quite relaxing.

Nice man from what I knew of him.

Just read this. Very sad. Back in the 80's he did a stint in Nottingham at Radio Trent and was well known on the local gay scene. I did meet him briefly on a couple of occasions through mutual friends. He did seem then to be every bit as genial and kind as he later appeared to be on TV.

Yes, he seems to have been universally liked. Terribly sad.
