T'was ever thus. I always thought it really unfair in the 80's when the papers covered the public engagements of Charles and Diana. There was microscopic analysis of Diana's attire but Charles seemed to get away with always wearing the same suits that he bought in 1965.

Who can forget the May/Sturgeon ‘battle of the legs’ Mail front page? Although that was written by a female ‘journalist’ of courses
