The word was first used in 1960, and Merriam-Webster defines it as "a yellowish-flowered Mediterranean herb of the mustard family cultivated for its foliage which is used especially in salads."
Never heard of it.

I think Prezzo or someone used to do a pasta arugula which was quite passable.
