Title: Crayfish escape
Post by: Sriram on June 04, 2018, 08:55:02 AM

Hi everyone,

Here is a video of a crayfish that escapes the hotpot by sacrificing one of its claws.

Shows how even such creatures are conscious, intelligent and determined to survive.

Many of them are boiled alive. How cruel people can be!

Saw that too sririam.  Gladit escaped but one hopes its escape was notshort lived.
It has always beyond my comprehension how anyone could eat something killed so cruelly, before  i was veggie. I hope this will make people think - doubt it as we are sold the idea that they feel nothing.  I've never believed that.

According to the man who took the film he’s now keeping the crayfish in an aquarium in his home.

I remember seeing lobsters in tanks in restaurants all the time when I was growing up. Doesn’t seem so common now. I’ve necer believed that they couldn’t be killed humanely before cooking. Like you, Robbie, certain practices bothered me long before I gave up eating meat.
