Given that this merely gets us back to the the average increase in health spending, and that there is no dividend, and that we have no details of how it is being funded, is this anything to be pleased about?

Yes and no. The NHS needs a funding boost. But we are going to get hit twice over - once by the financial costs of Brexit, and again by a rise in taxation. In times of financial hardship this will hit the poorest the hardest. And I’m guessing that other departments will take cuts to fund it too so there’ll be cuts to education, the environment etc.
The only good thing is that even the staunchest pro Brexit papers haven’t had the gall to claim this increase is thanks to Brexit.

Its been said that part of the money will come from the 'Brexit dividend' hasn't it?

And you believe that?

Various fact checkers have said that Brexit will cause a financial loss; if correct, how can there be a dividend?

As the saying goes: this is mutton dressed up as lamb.

And you believe that?
No - its just that I thought you said that people hadn't claimed it was due to Brexit. You actually said paper of course rather than people. Must get my eyes tested .....

What I find really troubling is that the PM thinks she can get away with such lies. And how desperate her position is.

Yes, was surprised to hear her mention a Brexit dividend. I don't think she believed it herself.
