Kofi Annan appears to have done an excellent job whilst in office.

Oh dear  :(

His kind seem in short supply now in a world filled with strongarm populists who thrive by appealing to our baser instincts. It seems gone are the days when we could take heart in the internationalist moral leadership of compassion, dignity and grace that he personified.
