Very sad and worrying generally

Thanks NS.
Yes..it was a terrible situation....though I don't live in Kerala. The rainfall was more by 50-60% than normal, within 4-5 days. Most dams were full and water had to be released, flooding many areas. Luckily the rain seems to have stopped since yesterday. Good rescues operations are going on.
Another of the climate change consequences I guess.

One of those things that is overwhelming to watch. Terrible situation.

My heart goes out to those who have suffered. We had a small taste of it in our area in 2007, when large parts of Hull were flooded, and plenty of people suffered loss of property , and at least one person died. Goodness what it must be like in Kerala, where thousands have been made homeless and nearly 200 have died.

We have just been watching it on the news, it is so tragic! :o

Some pictures of the rescue operations by the Indian Navy and Army. We all are very grateful...

Oh yes, the rescue services are wonderful.
It was heartbreaking on the news to see houses being swept away and the death toll is terrible.
