I have never been happy with the idea that judicial punishment and internal national security should be available for private profit.

Privately-run prisons is a completely mad idea. There is no intrinsic profit to be made, so the government presumably pays them to do it, and since they have to make a profit to stay in business, either the government pays them more than they would spend if they ran them directly, or they spend less on prisoner welfare than the government would - or am I missing something?

Recall the government spin at renationalisation of the East Coast line.

Your usual virgin services will now be known as LNER. As if it was just a rebrand.

Bunch of twisting shites.
