Title: Labour's Amazon Tax
Post by: Nearly Sane on August 23, 2018, 09:51:27 AM
I'm not keen on this sort of hypothecated one off tax stuff. It feels like a gimmick rather than an actual plan. Also it is, as to an extent the BBC is, an attempt to approve certain news outlets. Laughably it's opposed by the Tories for the same reason their own proposed Amazon tax is flawed.

Oh and apparently the speech is being made in a room where there aren't TV cameras and video will be supplied edited after the event by Labour Party - press freedom indeed!

The speech was broadcast and filmed live so hurrah.
