Theoretically, yes.
However in certain areas of the subcontinent, the legal system is seen more as a guideline than a code - unfortunately.
The laws forbidding child marriage have done no such thing; I fear this will be equally innffective.

I'd agree somewhat, but as a marker it is still hugely significant. If you look at attitudes on these islands its still not all miilk and honey.....baby steps, baby steps.
