Denis Norden has died. I used tolove his writing partnership with Frank Muir, as well as his appearances in front of both mic and camera. http://www.google.com/search?q=denis+norden+dies&sa=X&hl=en&prmd=ivns&source=univ&tbm=nws&tbo=u&ved=0ahUKEwivz_uJ08bdAhVOyqQKHQZ7BtsQqAIICw

One of those where I didn't know he was still alive.

I particularly liked his anecdotes.
An example, one of my favourites:
Two women he overheard talking on a bus: one was telling the other at some length about her awful life with her now deceased husband, her travelling companion then gave her view on how best to come to terms with it all and said "if I were you I would be completely philosophical about all of the things that have gone by, put it out of your mind and don't even think about it".
It's sad that he's gone.

Go on, then - what's the punchline?

What's philosophy all about?
