Yes - the things you never knew you needed. Christmas lights for your beard. Gordon all your prayers answered at once.
I repeat. Christmas lights. For your beard.
Truly we are in the end times.

I saw some much more ornate ones than those in a catalogue the other day. Maybe Gordon would like to check them out ;D

I'd have no hesitation: in fact, and this is the truth, for Xmas this year Mrs G has acquired some glitter that is specifically for beards - and I shall wear it with pride.
One of the pleasures of having grandchildren in their teens is taking every opportunity to embarrass them!

We look forward to seeing a photo of your Christmas beard. ;D

I thought we'd gone past peak hipster beard - but then again perhaps this is clear evidence that we've gone past peak hipster beard.

My husband grew a beard recently, just to see how he would look with one now, he used to have one years ago. After getting the thumbs down from our children and myself, his razor was employed again. :D

My beard ain't gonna see no lights.
It's just fine as a soup strainer.

I have just put up our Christmas decorations, which are only in the lounge and very minimalist. Just a bit of tinsel, a few baubles, and a few other bits and pieces. It has been our tradition to have the decorations up on December 1st and take them down on December 27th, we dislike them lingering on into the new year.

Wrong way round. Traditionally, you're supposed to put them up on Christmas Eve, and take them down on Twelfth Night, which is January 5th or 6th, depending on whether Christmas day itself is considered one of the 12 days of Christmas, which is debated.

We dislike that tradition, we prefer ours.
