Who's watching? They're all so good this year.
-
As ever I am. Kelvin is good as is Michelle Visage and Karim. Either David James or the rower(forgotten his name) to go out this week.
The television equivalent of a pair of comfy old slippers, just jazzed up a bit with a few sequins.
-
Yes, I do. I suspect that James Cracknell will be ejected. It looks as if Mike Bushell is due to be the comedy act.
-

I don't even try to watch it, although of course I'd like to, but isn't James Cracknell so competitive that he'll work to stay in anyway?
-
I think he feels awkward and out of place as does the goalkeeper David James. A lot of it is about how entertaining they are which is where the actors and actresses have an advantage as they can switch into an appropriate personality. Odd things happen when the public vote as celebrity status seems to have an influence as opposed to dance skills.
-
Does the title of this thread need to be all caps?
-
As yet not feeling it. Sometimes it takes a little time for a series to have its own identity.
-
What are opinions here of the new judge?
-
I like her. She has all the credentials and a good personality. Darcey was a difficult act to follow, she was so good and gracious but nothing lasts forever and Motsi gets a ten from me.
Ekim was right about James being the first to go, bless him. I knew on Saturday night because I looked at the Spoiler thread on Digital Spy, the only time I go on there is during the Strictly series.
Emma Weymouth is lovely though I thought she danced better the previous week, however it's early days. I like them all at the moment.
-
Lots of good dancing last night, as ever the costume department did a great job, but 10s in week 3? And still not feeling it. Obviously Anneka Rice should go. The stick she used as a prop was a better dancer.
-
I didn't see it last night, watched it this morning.
Catherine and Johannes rhumba was amazing, had me nearly in tears.
Yes I suppose Anneka's dance was the worst but I like her and she obviously had fun. I doubt she minds that her 'journey' is over. Sorry for Kevin but that's how it goes.
Very good show.
Harry Connick Jr performing on tonight's results show. Last time I saw him he was a lawyer in Law & Order.
-
Last time I saw him he was a lawyer in Law & Order.
He should have stuck to the law. He didn't do "Anything Goes" any favours. :(
-
I found his performance a bit lacklustre too Trent, thought it was just me. I remember him being a really good big band type singer and had his own band, not exactly my taste but I could appreciate it. I suppose they alll have their day (or he could have been having an off day). He was always rakishly good looking too. I've noticed the guest singers on Strictly often aren't as good as usual in that setting so he's not the only one. Nadya and Anton danced beautifully to him though.
He was excellent as lawyer in Law and Order & he and Det Olivia Benson were in love but had to part because of conflict of interests, it was quite cutting.
Again I knew Anneka was going and it was right that she did, don't thinkshe minded too much, good sport and all that.
Group dance at beginning was excellent in my opinion. Yes I am a real Strictly fan as are all family it seems. My late parents and my (not late) in laws used to take it in turns to watch at each other's houses, take food or have takeaway, a Sat night ritual :-). My mother in law said before this year's started that it just wouldn't be the same for them any more without my mum and dad, last time just dad but I'm glad they've got into the swing of it again. My sis went round to theirs last week with a lasagne and watched with them, bless her. They all danced in their time, people of their ages all learned ballroom and knew how todance, didn't matter if the weren't all that good but could shuffle around reasonably accurately.
Charlie and I have always had favourite professionals (tho' like them all): used to be Ian Waite, Erin Boag, Darren and lilya, Flavia and Vincent, still see them on ITT (lovely Lilia is huge now!). Latterly I particularly liked Natalie Lowe and Aljaz. Chaz favours Kevin. Now it's Oti, Aljaz and the wonderful Johannes. I sound like a real sad case but it's good to have something different and relaxing in life when work etc. is so intense (it's the only non-work thing that is ever talked about at work!).
I have to go and get ready in a bit, starting early today, still half asleep. See you all later.
-
Hi Robbie
Not sad at all. People get enthused about all sorts of things. Sport, books, music, dogs, almost anything.
Latterly for me it is the sea. We moved recently to the South Coast (Worthing area) one of the reasons being that I had always wanted to live by the sea. It was a good choice because now I walk by the sea every day and never tire of it's changing moods. And yes even in the rain.
Anyway I digress from the topic somewhat; this is only a personal opinion but I actually dislike the bit where the dancers come on during the guests performances. I find it distracting and feel that you end up with a production that falls between two stools. My opinion, and only a minor irritant to me.
-
I couldn't stop laughing over Craig's comments about Anton's fake teeth.
-
I couldn't stop laughing over Craig's comments about Anton's fake teeth.
Yes, that was one of those things that watching people's reactions to it was even funnier. It's fairly gentle TV, and is intertwined with my life since when I ran off with my now wife, it was the day of the first ever Strictly. On a day when nothing made sense, and It took me 30 minutes to read a menu, returning to the flat, managing to make spag bol - which I think I can do blindfold - it was the sort of thing that was ju* Except right*.
* Except for Christopher Parker
-
Oh gosh yes, Christopher Parker. He had a delightful professional dance partner, can't remember her name. Hannah* something? She only did one series (I don't think because of him :-)).
Johannes on ITT tonight but I'll watch that on catch up.
*Hanna Karttunen

The Paso he did as a vampire was like being attacked by a Gummi Bear.
-
I felt sorry for Dev, both couples were too good to be in the bottom but that's how it goes, I'm glad EmmaW is staying.
Emma Barton and Anton's dance was really beautiful last night.
-
The Will and Janette dance tonight - I know there was emotional manipulation going on - but it worked. Was in bits.
-
The Will and Janette dance tonight - I know there was emotional manipulation going on - but it worked. Was in bits.
Yes, not sure it was worth the score it received. Mind you that applied to a few of the dances this evening, imho. Judges are far too keen to brandish their "9" & "10"'s.
-
I haven't seen tonight's yet, went out for a while. I'll watch it on catch up.
Sounds interesting from what you've said.
-
I've now seen. Loved it! Am glad Emma W did so well, she will not be in bottom two (I know result but will not say).
It was a smashing show in my opinion for what it's worth (no comments please :-) ).
I really like Anfonso but when Bruno returns, I'll be happy.
Anyone's game at the moment.
I will try to watch on a Saturday as much as pissible to be able to vote.
PS I meant 'possible' not 'pissable' but left it because it is funny (to me).
-
I enjoyed tonight's results show, already knew who was eliminated. Nadya had worked wonders with David and he certainly seemed pleased, despite having to leave.
-
Right result all round on terms of bottom 2. They are trying to make Mike Bushell the comedy candidate but it's a bit of a stretch for him as with most things for him.
-
Marvellous show. So many are good. I voted for Emma W and Karim. Loved so much of the others though. It'll be sad to see anyone go (I know who has gone and it's not someone I would have picked to go).
-
Marvellous show. So many are good. I voted for Enna W and Karim. Loved so much of the others though. It'll be sad to see anyone go (I know who has gone and it's not someone I would have picked to go).
Yes me neither.
I'll share my thoughts on why this happened later (I too succumbed to the Strictly Spoiler :()
-
Yes I'll reserve judgement until I see the results show. 'm sure the judges are fair and they look at the dance on the night, I was just surprised it was that person. I really liked her and of course her professional partner is terrific. So the other one in the dance off had better be really something!
We're going to see a few good ones going from now on. It's always the way.
Hope you're having a good day Trent. I'm having a lazy one having been up very early all week as my next in line has been ill, she works part time (youngish children), a person very easy to get along with & excellent at her job, we cover for each other at times. Well, I think she'll be back tomorrow, she intends to be but when she last phoned me she didn't sound well at all.
it's so nice and cosy today, I watched some of 'Strictly' again and we went out for an early pub lunch. Oh the joys of autumn - and Strictly.
-
I am grieving for Johannes, I've quite fallen for him.
-
Not on your own.
-
I know, I could feel his pain at being voted out with Catherine though they obviously had had a good time. There's something about him though.....next year.
-
The judging was odd. Can't see how the Tango stomp as performed by Magic Mike (sic) was in the same league as Catherine and Johannes dance.
-
I watched it again paying more attention to footwork and technique. I think Mike had improved and didn't put a foot wrong though he was a bit stompy in parts but apparently that was intentional (thumper and all that I suppose).
Catherine and Johannes were great, I preferred their dance but when Shirley gave the deciding vote, she explained very carefully what had particularly impressed her with Mike and Katya and I reluctantly think she was right. I liked the dance but I was spellbound by Catherine and Johannes - especially Johannes I suppose. I don't know what it is about that man but he has certainly caused a flutter in many people, he's touched my heart (I wish I was his mum). I could watch him dance for hours. The rhumba he did with Catherine was fabulous.
I'll see what they have to say on ITT later.
I caught some news earlier and it seems that Katya and Mike have had to put up with a lot of internet abuse from people saying, "It was a fix!". That's not fair at all, we have that sort of thing every year and it isn't true.
-
Johannes on dancing with Graziano - thoroughly enjoyed it.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-50287263
-
So did I. Thanks for posting the link, Ive watched it again. Beautiful stuff, both amazing but there's something about Johannes.....
I was sad that Emma W was out on Saturday night, I thought she was delightful. Glad Emma B is still going strong though.
-
EmmaB and Anton were on ITT earlier, very positive. I hope they do well on Saturday. Lots of the public still mourning over EmmaW and - her partner whoever he was :-). Didn't see him tonight though :(.
-
I knew what was going to happen tonight and it was fair enough. Very good humoured.
The professionals dance at the beginning I thought was good.
Never heard of Luke Evans before and only had a glimpse of Johannes. :(
-
Never heard of Luke Evans either. Powerful set of pipes though.
-
Excellent tonight.
-
Yes, a good and varied entertaining dance choreography. I think the space at Blackpool makes the difference. The standard of all was high and it's a pity that the numbers have to be whittled down.
-
Very good. I suspect Michelle may go. Her over emotional emoting jars, at least for me, and may result in fewer votes from the public. That and the fact that I thought it was the weakest dance of the evening.
-
I wasn't a fan of Michelle of whom I'd never heard before this series but there's no doubt some of her dancing was brilliant. Not so on Saturday, Saffron was much better and I think that her being in the bottom two will mean more votes for her next week.
-
Depends where she finishes. I think the person getting a big personal vote is Chris who comes across well and is improving. Alex is getting better and the change of her professional partner and back will have helped her. Karim and Kelvin were excellent on Saturday with Karim just shading it for me. Nice to see Emma and therefore Anton get 10s but not sure I would have given them
-
Yes, they are all doing well. I've just seen Michelle on ITT, don't know what the 'vogue' dancing is but will google.
Karim on now, he is adorable. I think I will try and adopt them all.
-

Vogue is obviously linked to the Madonna song but worth watching Pose, see below for the idea, that Madonna then used
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m0003g1h/pose
-
Ta for that! I did read about it so understood what Michelle was trying to convey and tbh she was good but on the day Saffron's dance was better imo; but the vogue thing is v interesting.
I'm a sad case, sitting here watching last night's ITT on iplayer (don't always like ITT), sipping some juice &trying to wake up properly before getting ready for work. Like seeing Alex and Neil, she's a great girl.
Hoping to get a glimpse of my would-be-adopted-son Johannes before going up for shower :-). (My loyal husband still favours Kevin, partnered this year with Anneka who wasn't all that good tho' very charming.)
Gotta go now, c u later.
Ooh Johannes is on now for a while!
-
Perhaps the series should include some 'strictly come tap dancing'.
-
There have been tap sequences in dances in the past, Tom Chambers did tap as part of his show dance, it''s also been in the American Smooth.
Well I know who's out and I ain't saying owt for fear of being banned, gagged, silenced forever. Just one clue, not bloke.
-
Never heard of Luke Evans either. Powerful set of pipes though.
Yes! I watched it a second time and the accompanying dance was gorgeous (Johannes).
Andreas Bocelli tomorrow.
My ol' man thought the eliminated woman person would be the one to go, he's often right.
NS 'Pose' on TV now.
-
Now everyone knows Saffron is out. I'm glad Karim is staying but Saffron did grow on me over the weeks.
Musicals week next time - I thought we'd already had that.
I watched 'Pose' and some of it reminded me of a place I went to in Ibiza town with my friend when we were 22. It was fun.
-
The words 'tap dance' always attract my attention! did I miss something? Was there a good bit of tap dancing on Saturday?!
-
No. It was just me suggesting the introduction of a tap dance routine, just as there is a Charleston routine. They could include it within the 'Musicals' week.

HI Robbie - I have a theory as to why Karim was in the bottom two. There are two parts to this.
1. The Couples Choice Dance - the public are presented with something which is much more free form than they are used to. Karim's dance was much more akin to Ballet Rambert than it was to a Viennese Waltz and for a lot of peoples tastes may be a little too far "out there". A similar thing applied to Michelle's vogue-ing misadventure, which although more "popular" is still very niche.
2. Over-emoting. I like both Karim & Michelle, but please enough with the emotional journey. I suspect that this is something that grates with a fair proportion of the public in this country (we aren't the USA yet - even though Boris may try to make us, another topic altogether), so the unusual dance combined with "look how far I've come"/"the people I love"/"gush gush gush" leads to a lack of public vote.
On the other hand, of course, people might have thought Karim was so good that they didn't need to vote for him!
As to "Pose" - I love it, but I think it is to overuse a word, a "niche" programme.
-
I find Karim a bit of a personality vacuum.
-

No, that's Sir James Dyson you're thinking of.

10!
-
Fair Alex has gone but didn't she do well?
I'm very glad Karim and Emma will be in the semi finals.
Hardly a glimpse of Johannes tonight :(.
-
Good bit of Johannes on It Takes Two
-
Yes :D.
Looking forward to tonight's show, not going out, uncle and aunt coming round to watch with us which probably sounds sad*. We will have takeaway.
*They, my in laws and my late parents used to regularly have a 'Strictly Saturday night' at one of their houses, in laws out tonight so I invited Unc&Co to join us. They live very near but one of us will drive them home later.
-
Kelvin was magnificent tonight. Oti is marvellous and didn't she look good, especially in her ballroom dress.
PS: Natalie Lowe has given birth to a baby boy.

I see you have a minibus emoji. I have a packet of Christmas cards with a minibus on them, don't know why I bought or to whom I should send, think it was by accident. Here is a facsimile of one for you:

Wow, Kelvin is through and I'm glad. Carlos Acosta dancing for us brought me near to tears.
Chris and Karen on ITT tonight very nice indeed, he did great. Good to see the lovely Darren and Lilia who seem to have been at the pies but never mind.
Three dances each next week, I'll be in suspenders all through the show.
-
Oooh Robbie,
You sure know how to tease 💃
-
Yeah, my stock ing trade.
-
Good final. Nice to see Anton there.
-
Yes it is. I'm not his greatest fan but love to watch him dance and the chemistry between him and Emma is good.
I didn't see ITT tonight.
-
Very well deserved winner, same to two runners up; they were definitely the best of the bunch and that wasn't easy considering how good most competitors were. It was really nice last night to see the ones who had been eliminated earlier, a great bunch (tho' no comedy acts. Ed Balls a tough act to follow).
No I haven't wet the bed :-). Got up because woke up at the start of a most weird and unpleasant dream which seemed real until I woke. Actually wrote a letter which I've been meaning to do all week and going back to bed now.
Hope all of you are sleeping peacefully.
A couple of weeks or so ago I mentioned Harry Connick Junior who 'guested' on Strictly; general consensus was that he didn't perform all that well. A couple of nights past I put telly on and there he was performing with band & he was quite different, really good. Just goes to show that people have off days and sometimes acoustics aren't wonderful in some places.
I did enjoy Beverley Knight when she was on.
Good night all and sweet dreams. I've just eaten carrot cake and am bound to have a nice dream.
-
Very happy with result though I would not really have minded any of them winning.
-
I thought the final was excellent. A real mixture of dances, all performed very well. I thought Kelvin was a-ma-zing. He should have got 11s just for doing rumba and samba in the final! Oti is an artist, her choreography is stunning and I'm pleased she won because she was ROBBED the year she danced with Danny Mac.
Can't believe it's over for another year :'(
-
It didn't seem to last very long this year. Maybe e it's because I've been out of the country and not had to listen to all the people yakking on about it.
-
I thought last night's programme was ruined by too much interrupting chatter and shortened routines. It should have been called 'Strictly Come jabbering'.
-
Well it's just a warm up till the series starts properly so not surprising
-
Thank you for the timely warning to avoid BBC1 on Saturday evenings.
-
Thank you for the timely warning to avoid BBC1 on Saturday evenings.
I wrote the BBC off on Saturday evenings a long time ago. Even Pointless Celebrities is a facile shadow of the real deal.
-
I m glued to my seat this evening, drink and nibbles at my side. Lovely to see them all again (Johannes), I hope Caroline Quentin* does well and excited to see Nicola Adams and Maisie Smith who are both very physically fit. I only recognise one of the men - Bill Bailey.
*So pleased Johannes is her partner (I hope he is pleased)
-
Good show last night. Feels very odd though, and I don't know if the ongoing Covid escalations might make an impact
-
I enjoyed last night's too. They are a likeable 'lot'. It didn't seem a lot different to me after a while.
-

Not so much different but if London goes into the rumoured Tier 4, then not sure it can continue. Craig seems in quite a good mood
-
Another good show and the right couple out, though they were much better than some first outs. The bizarre conflict between the possible extreme lateness of the PM's statement was resolved by the BBC just cutting him of in the middle of his rambling. Seem it suggested that the BBC were asked to delay Strictly but said bollocks.
-
NS:- The bizarre conflict between the possible extreme lateness of the PM's statement was resolved by the BBC just cutting him of in the middle of his rambling. Seem it suggested that the BBC were asked to delay Strictly but said bollocks.
.......
No argument from me about that!
Jacqui Smith came over very well on ITT I thought.
-
Yes, agreed. I do think though it might be time for Anton to foxtrot off the show.
-
Entertaining tonight as ever but a couple of odd music to dance choices. Bill Bailey could win this
-
I agree with you about Anton, never quite got over his 'Paki' remark. Which may reveal me as unforgiving but it shows his mindset. Doesn't deter from his dancing skill of course.
Bill Bailey is amazing! I felt sorry for Jason Bell dancing a paso to the Star Wars theme and thought he did pretty well, considering. However I have feeling he'll be out next which is a shame because he has much potential.
Overall an enjoyable show.
-
Bill Bailey does continue to impress.
-
Caroline impresses too, she's so lucky to have Johannes as a partner. Before I sleep I'm going to look on DS to see who is out, can't wait until tomorrow. Don't worry I won't tell you.
-
Not sure how the normal spoilers will work with no audience. Thought the right couple went out. Surprised to an extent thay Nicola was in the bottom two but while she is very likeable they all seem to be - if some not very interesting. I think that Bill combines nice, interesting and dancing best at this stage.
-
And Nicola Adams out because Katya Jones has tested positive for Covid
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54919497
-
I heard about that on ITT earlier. I'm disappointed for both of them. It t's likely Nicola will also test positive and maybe other people involved in Strictly.
Perhaps Nicola can come back next year.
-

Good I think. It seems a more natural progression than when they have pulled in random judges in the past when Bruno wasn't available.
-
Bill Bailey or what? ??? Wow!
Caroline coming up now.
-
I know Robbie.
That shouldn't be possible, he is very, very good.
-
Brilliant programme tonight.
-
So many good performances. I don't remember a series where the standard has been this high before (I know the judges say that every year but this is the first time I've said it!)
-
Agree. And I like everyone, and have liked everyone. Even Jamie who I expected not to like, and he was excellent tonight.
-
I know who is out but won't say. It will not come as a surprise but the other person in the bottom two didn't deserve to be there.
Excellent show.

How would you know? The spoiler sites no longer have the access they did because there is no audience

Well didn't like that result.
I thought Max was better than Maisie.
-
I agreed with the result. It does mean that JJ is getting a lot of public votes

It does. Uniform, services, sympathy. I like him but he was the weakest link.

I read that it was between Max and Maisie with Max being eliminated. I've no idea where it came from but the person who said it was right.
Both couples danced very well in the dance off and I felt sad for them. I like JJ but he was the weakest.
-

My understanding is that the spoiler sites are running public votes and using them to predict the result as opposed to the leak from before. I think that means they are not as reliable but so far they seem to be correct. The cynical part of me wonders if there is still a mole.
That Maisie's vote is so low from the public is interesting. She was originally the favourite but now from an original 50/1, the favourite is now Bill
-
It does. Uniform, services, sympathy. I like him but he was the weakest link.
Agree. It's still a hugely high standard to have 19 from 3 judges as bottom at this stage. JJ has a powerful story and at least he isn't a joke dancer.
I did wonder if Ranvir might be in the bottom 2 this week.
-
Good show again tonight. Bill is still my top man. My in-laws and uncle are still talking about it :-), they always got together, with my late parents and aunt, and watched it each week in eachother's houses, taking it in turns to make an early supper. Now they sometimes come to me. They love Bill, Caroline and Ranvir. I just heard "Maisie is sweet" :-). Anyway I'm signing off now to take them home. Hope my fellow posters who love Strictly also enjoyed tonight's show.
-
Very high standard tonight. Enjoyed it.
-
The right, if sad decision. People seem to not like Maisie. I presume that it's related to her having had dance training.
-

Also she appeared, or so I read, in the Christmas Strictly last year, which would also give her an advantage. So it looks a little unfair somehow.
-
I haven't voted so far but will vote for Maisie on Saturday, she shouldn't have been in the bottom two. Lots of previous contestants have done a bit of dancing before but aren't dancers as such (tho' Debbie McGee was a professional dancer). I was sorry to see Caroline go, liked her but I like them all!
-
JJ lovely tonight in his kilt. Very moving performance.
Maisie has my vote tonight, wow!
I couldn't vote, was too late by a few minutes.

He is, certainly was in tonight's opening dance (whih I presume is the Priscilla dance you're talking about, I didn't notice the name).
Loving it.
PS: That was the quickest hour&abit show ever! Seems like I only just put it on and it's over. S'pose it's best to leave us wanting more.

Robbie - if you've never seen Priscilla try to. It is a wonderful watch with Guy Pearce and a wonderful Terence Stamp in drag.
Life affirming in a way that the Australians do rather well.

To be fair that's the film rather than the musical but alk wonderful.

True - but the film was half way towards being a musical.

I didn't know about the film but having now read about it, doesn't appeal to me.
Here is tonight's Strictly 'Priscilla' dance but you have to wait three minutes before seeing Johannes. I've just watched it again.

I suspect it will be farewell JJ. Thought it was Bill's worst dance of the series. Think HRVY was overmarked.

Agree, in my mind I thought JJ & Bill in the dance off. Both HRVY & Maisie seem to me to receive ecstatic remarks from the judges that are not quite deserved. Still it is a show that excels in hyperbole so what more should I expect. Shirley has at least twice said that a particular dance she has watched this year is the best she has ever seen. My reaction was really?
-
I think the dance off will be JJ and Jamie.
-
On the straight basis of the dance off, wrong decision. Jamie was way off, many many mistakes

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
And who let that supposed artist murder "Climb Every Mountain" ?
-
Yeah! I'd never heard of Marisha Wallace before, apparently she is big in musical theatre in America. Perhaps she'd do better to stick to that. I also didn't catch from what musical the opening dance came.
I thought overall Jamie danced better than JJ but it was close, could have been either. I expect Jamie will be out next week. Looking forward to seeing JJ in ITT tomorrow, he did really well.

The musical is some kind of take on Shakespeare, details here:

I'm thinking that Bill has reached a plateau in his efforts now and it will be between him and Jamie next week.
-
I haven't been watching Strictly this year but I did watch the Sunday dance off this week. Just on the basis of watching the two unfortunate couples, I also think the wrong decision was made. I also agree that the 'Climb Every Mountain' singer was disappointing, She seemed to vary between being far too quiet for the quiet beginning to belting it out little better than a pub singer.
All in all I was disappointed, although I realise that an atmosphere without an audience is very hard to create.
-
There is an audience every week, not as big. Can't say that I've noticed much difference on that score. I did notice a difference in Blackpool week, that was less spectacular than usual which it obviously would be without Blackpool! Still a good show though.
Watching It takes 2 in kitchen at the moment, JJ coming over very well.
-
He was at Goldsmiths with my friend, I met him a couple of times.
-
I only saw last 35 minutes tonight but did vote. I'll catch up with the beginning later.
On ITT yesterday I wondered what on earth the make up department did with poor Beverley Knight's eyes!
-
Was very impressed by Beverley Knight's singing.
Enjoyable show but oddly for a series where I think the overall standard has been the highest I have seen, other than Maisie and HRVY's charleston that was not as good as some semifinals.
-
I was distinctly underwhelmed by the semis.
All of the contestants seemed over marked to me. I'm fed up with Motsi's distracting tops. Her body moves but the dress doesn't. What's that all about?
Also fed up with Shirley (this routine will go down in history) Ballas, she has lost the right in my mind to be head judge with her use of hyperbole every single week.
Craig is the only one maintaining any kind of grip on reality.
I could have been in a really bad mood of course. But him indoors felt the same.
-
I think you were in a funny mood Trent. I'm like that sometimes, things just pass me by. However I enjoyed the show.
-
Great final. Thought Bill would win. Would have been happy with Maisie and HRVY.
Jamie did well.
-
Just how I felt NS. I could cry now. Lovely for Oti. They were all so good tonight and there was a very high standard throughout the show.

Loved the Nicola and Katya dance
-
Pleased with the result.
Hrvy and Maisie were, I thought, better dancers, but Bill had the advantage of a more winning back story.
Complete novice, didn't have the advantage of youth, worked at it really hard. People warmed to that I think.
-
Nice review of it

Could these be the latest entries for Strictly ........... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn3KWM1kuAw

I'm watching it at the moment & feeling a bit flat, nobody's fault. My parents, in laws, uncle and aunt got together every Saturday night at one of their houses to eat on trays and watch Strictly :), I keep thinking of them, all gone now except uncle and he went up to Filey a couple of weeks ago, still there.
I don't know most of the celebs except Sarah, Rose, the McFly chap and Greg Wise. Looking forward to Johannes of course. Oh Katy, I know her! She's about to perform.
Next week I'll probably perk up.
Later: Johannes.....wonderful.
The rest were excellent, can't remember their names.

If I chose to watch Strictly, I would have to support Ugo Monye (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugo_Monye), former England and Harlequins winger and presenter of the BBC Rugby Union Weekly podcast. Last week he was telling the other presenters what is required for Strictly. He put in more than 40 hours of rehearsal for his dance that was 90 seconds long or 26 minutes of rehearsal for each second of the routine.
-
He had to bury his father too. I hope he does well.
-
He had to bury his father too.
What? On Strictly?
-
:D Er no but just hours before the show. He dedicated his dance to his late father.
He has also just split from his wife, no third parties involved and they are friendly. They have two very young children, the youngest still a baby. I get the impression lockdown made things difficult for them both. Who knows they may back together before too long.
-
I forgot all about ITT tonight. Maybe catch up before bed time.
Everyone was so concerned today with fuel shortage, Strictly thoughts went out the window! I danced to work, to off site appointments & back home again. Pounds lighter.
-
Some excellent dancing tonight. Felt Dan Walker was over marked and Adam Peaty undermarked but they're not going to be there down the way. 35 for fourth in Week 3 though means there isn't many places to go. Loved John and Johannes, and Rose and Giovanni.

I'm just happy that Ugo is still in it.
